Platinum Shutters are able to supply and fit eco-friendly shutters made from sustainable  materials grown on the island of Kolombangara in the Solomon Islands. This area nurtures a host of protected forests and a plantation area with over 14,330 hectares of mixed indigenous and exotic wood species perfect for commercial use including plantation shutters!

Made from white teak, this is our highest quality shutters.The teak that we use is a very adaptable hardwood and looks great no matter how it is finished.  Stable and with a fine grain, it lends itself to being the perfect match if you are looking for shutters shaped in a specific way to your own bespoke style and design.  It is also perfect when used for louvres as its close grain means that it always stays straight and perfectly rigid. As it is not a heavy timber, we can use it to cover large areas without it needing additional support.  For example, if you have large patio doors that require several shutters to be hinged together, we can do this without any problem.

Our Sumatra Shutters range comes with a wide range of louvre sizes, ranging from 32mm up to 114mm.  With an extensive range of frames and styles to choose from, it is never a problem to find the perfect shutter for any room in your home.  If you are unsure as to which shutter to choose, this is never a problem.  When our surveyors visit to carry out your design consultation, they can discuss with you the various choices and work with you to help to make a decision.

Extremely flexible and very popular within our range, the Sumatra shutters will look great wherever you choose to site them from bedrooms and lounges through to conservatories, dining rooms and into bay windows.
